Elizabeth Roth’s Profile
Incredibly talented, with 33 years experience as a musician, composer and premier local performing artist, Elizabeth Roth graduated with a BA in music/classical guitar from Stetson University in 2006. With over 20 years experience as a solo artist at Mi Casa Cafe on St. George Street in St. Augustine and throughout North Florida; she adds versatility as the lead singer of her newly formed band, "The Grapes of Roth." Ms. Roth composes and performs her own original material. Her most recent album was awarded Solo Act CD of the Year by the Songwriter's Showcases of America. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, she moved to St. Augustine in 1985 and immediately began apprenticing as our Piano Technician. Her debut performance was that fall as both solo artist and also with a Jazz ensemble composed of local musicians including Dick Kraft in the Gazebo at the inaugural Sterry Piano/Skylight Festival of Music.
Elizabeth's teaching experience includes 25 years private instruction including: Voice, beginner to advanced Guitar and beginner to intermediate Piano. Her years working with special needs children at Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind and Outta Sight, in St. Augustine bring a valuable addition to Sterry Piano's school of instructors.
